Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions of ZEN prepaid card

  • Plans are only valid with the new €0.05 price scheme.
  • Calls are measured to within 60 seconds of accuracy.
  • Once the M-Internet limit is reached, the Internet connection is terminated.
  • Call rates per minute to other networks include calls to the networks of the Telia, Tele2 and Elisa Estonia mobile communications operators.
  • ZEN works on the assumption that Clients will make reasonable use of the communications service it provides (in accordance with which the Client uses the SIM card with which they have been issued for the intended purpose and only for the use in the ordinary amount of the communications services offered by ZEN), will not obstruct other users of communications services in any way and will not cause disturbances in the Elisa network.
  • Use of ZEN is only considered reasonable and for its intended purpose if it is for personal use for the purpose of communication to enter into and maintain dialogue between two people. All other manners of use (including, but not limited to, the examples below) are considered unreasonable use of the plan in accordance with these terms and conditions and are treated as a significant breach of the terms and conditions of use, giving ZEN the right, among other things, to amend the terms and conditions of the provision of communications services to the Client (including imposing additional fees), to restrict the provision of communications services and/or to close the prepaid card. ZEN has the right to amend the terms and conditions of the plan and to establish restrictions in general or in regard to a specific Client who has made unreasonable use of a plan. In the event of the unreasonable use of a plan ZEN also has the right to demand that the Client compensate any damages incurred as a result of the unreasonable use of the plan. In addition to the foregoing, the use of ZEN in any way for the purpose of earning money (including, for example, telemarketing and network marketing) and the use or connection of the SIM card to equipment which is not designed for making direct voice calls or which is used for mechanically/automatically sending text messages and/or making calls are also considered unreasonable use.
  • Elisa has the right, at any time, to update plans that are currently being offered, to amend their content and structure, to add new plans and to remove old ones. Such changes have no retroactive effect on plans that have already been ordered and activated by clients.
  • In activating a ZEN prepaid card the user consents to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the principles of processing client data of Elisa Eesti AS, which can be reviewed here.

Terms and conditions of ZEN plans

  • When you call the number for the selected plan, the plan is activated and available for 30 days (until the end of the last calendar day of the month) or until you reach its limits (hereafter referred to as the duration of the plan).
  • If you order several plans, only the most recently ordered price plan is active for 30 days from the date it is ordered, but the service volumes of all of the plans are added together.
  • Note: The price of the plan is deducted from the balance of your talktime.
  • In the €4, €5, €8 and €15 plans, ‘Calls to other networks’ include all calls made to the Elisa, Telia and Tele2 mobile networks. In the €15 plan, ‘Calls to other networks’ also means that when you reach this limit, all calls to numbers in the Elisa network remain free of charge with no limits until the plan expires.
  • The plans enable unlimited speed in the 2G, 3G and 4G networks, depending on which network(s) your phone supports.

Terms and conditions of Internet passes

  • To order a pass, text NET4G1, NET4G7, NET4G30, NET4G30L or NET4G30XL to 95000. Your pass is activated as soon as you receive a reply.
  • Internet passes can also be ordered by texting 15300. If you text NET1, a day pass valued at €1 will be activated for you. If you text NET7, a day pass valued at €5 will be activated for you.
  • Internet passes are valid until the end of the corresponding calendar day.
  • With a ZEN prepaid monthly Internet pass you can surf the web for 30 days straight. The principle of reasonable use applies to data volumes for all Internet passes. The Internet can be used at unlimited speed. Further information about Internet speeds can be found here .
  • Note: Passes only include data for use in Estonia. Mobile Internet use abroad is charged according to the prices of foreign operators. Find out more about roaming prices
  • When your pass expires you’ll get an SMS informing you of this, after which you can continue using mobile Internet at your usual data communications rate.

Terms and conditions of Internet passes with restricted speed

  • Internet passes can also be ordered by texting 15300. If you text NET1, a day pass valued at €1 will be activated for you. If you text NET7, a day pass valued at €5 will be activated for you.
    With both passes, the Internet speed is unlimited in both the 3G and 4G networks.
    Find out more about the new Internet passes with unlimited speed here. Starting from 12 October 2017, if you order a monthly pass by texting NET30 to 15300, its ‘reasonable use’ data limit will be 15 GB and it can also be used in the 4G network. Its speed will be up to 2 Mbit/s and the pass will cost €7.
  • To order the pass, text NET30 to 15300. Your pass is activated as soon as you receive a reply.
  • Note: Passes only include data for use in Estonia . Mobile Internet use abroad is charged according to the prices of foreign operators. Find out more about roaming prices
  • When your pass expires you’ll get an SMS informing you of this, after which you can continue using mobile Internet at your usual data communications rate.

Terms and conditions of M-Internet price limit

The M-Internet price limit keeps the cost of your Internet use under control – once you’ve used your €1 of Internet, calculation of your data volume ends and no more money is deducted from your prepaid card for that day. Of course, you can continue using the Internet if you want to.

Automatic extension of service plan | Terms and conditions of service | 30 October 2018

  •
  • Activation and deactivation of the service to automatically extend a service plan takes place via the ZEN prepaid card self-service site at minu.zen.ee.
  • The service can be activated for all ZEN prepaid card plans and Internet passes.
  • One service can be activated for each service plan type i.e. you can order the service for one prepaid card plan and for one Internet pass (including Travel plans and passes).
  • In order to activate the service, the prepaid card account must have sufficient balance to update the service plan being used (i.e. the monthly fee for the service plan), since the fee for the automatic extension of the service plan is deducted from the balance of your ZEN card account. For example, in order for a service plan with a monthly fee of €8 to be automatically extended, the balance of the prepaid card account must be at least €8.
  • If there are insufficient funds in the ZEN prepaid card account when you seek to automatically extend the service plan, you will not be able to do so and attempts to establish the automatic extension will be made every minute thereafter for the next 72 hours. Note: Once 72 hours has passed since the first attempt to extend the plan, the service to automatically extend the service plan is deactivated.
  • The client can designate via the self-service site in which of the following instances the service plan is automatically extended. The automatic extension of the service plan may take place when:
  1. the service plan expires;
  2. the data volume included in the service plan is used up;
  3. the talktime included in the service plan is used up;
  4. the text messages included in the service plan are used up.
  • In the case of automatic extension when the service plan expires, the service volumes which have expired (data, talktime and text messages) are deleted and are not carried over to the extended service plan.
  • In the case of automatic extension when the data volume is used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service plan.
  • In the case of automatic extension when talktime is used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service plan.
  • In the case of automatic extension when international talktime is used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service plan.
  • In the case of automatic extension when text messages are used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service plan.
  • In the event of the service plan expiring, service volumes being used up, the service plan being extended or the automatic extension of the service plan failing, Elisa shall notify you thereof via a text message. Should the automatic extension of the service plan fail, you will only be sent a text message the first time the attempt fails.
  • In activating a Zen prepaid card the user consents to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the principles of processing client data of Elisa Eesti AS, which can be reviewed here.
  • Elisa has the right to unilaterally amend the terms and conditions of the service on the basis and according to the procedure set out in the General Terms and Conditions of Use of Services of Elisa Eesti AS.
